Jenny Jones was born on 23 December 1949. She grew up in Brighton.
Jenny Jones has held public office as an Assembly Member (AM) since 2000, and was a Southwark councillor 2006-2010. From May 2003 to June 2004 she was Deputy Mayor of London.
She worked as a financial controller and, for about ten years, as an archaeologist in the Middle East.
