Brazos - How the Ranks Was Won

Tom Jenkins | Tuesday 5 March, 2013 14:13

Named after the longest river in Texas, Brazos (which sounds almost like the brand name of a delicious crisp you might eat on holiday, don’t you think?) is Austin-raised, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Martin Crane. He makes kaleidoscopic pop music, taking lyrical inspiration from feminist poetry and Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. His new album, Saltwater, is released May 27 via Dead Oceans. Stream the lovingly put-together video for How the Ranks Was Won, above.
