Tournoi by Pigeons

Pigeons, from the Bronx, are now onto their third long-player: They Sweetheartstammers is released November 8th via Soft Abuse. Their contribution to Snipe’s considerable MPFree cannon, Tournoi, sounds like the music from a 60s flashback scene in a really bad American sitcom – King of Queens or something dire like that – but in a really good way. A little bit Gainsbourg, a little bit Jefferson Airplane…it made me want to put on a pair of velvet loon pants, smoke some low-grade marijuana and get sexy, which is recommendation enough.
