Daily MPfree: Everything Everything Album Mashup

Here’s a “glitch mob” mashed up one-track advert for Everything Everything album, “Man Alive”. It’s a pretty great pop record stuffed with insistent earworms, all of which are present, if not correct, on this mix.

Jon Stewart: Fox News accidentally fingers major News Corp shareholder as 'terror mosque' funder
Hilarious. The Rhodes scholars at Fox & Friends, Fox News’ morning show, in their continuous coverage of the so-called ‘Terror Mosque’, identify Saudi Arabian prince—and Savoy Hotel owner—Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz as a major funder of ‘extremist’ madrassas the world over, and a funder of Park51. Fox & Friends neglected to mention that he is also the largest shareholder of Fox News’s parent company, News Corp, after the Murdoch family.
Warning: this video has a voice over by some ass who can’t stop inserting his own ‘Whoo! Yeah!’ comments every few minutes. Save yourself some aggravation and start 60 seconds in.
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is on More4 Tues-Fri at 8:30pm. This episode will air this evening.

Daily MPfree: Salem

We’ve some dark, heavy USA dance shit for you today. John Doran, editor of The Quietus, had this banging out of the Green Man ‘fun bus’ last weekend and I was utterly taken with it. Brilliant stuff, and ironic that the best discovery of the festival happened on the way there.

Defence secretary wants Medal Of Honor video game banned
Liam Fox, the defence minister, says that it was shocking that someone would think it acceptable to recreate the acts of the Taliban against British soldiers Medal of Honor, to published by Electronic Arts in October, is based on the Afghan campaign and allows multi-player gaming, which, by definition, means someone has to be the bad guy.

Where are the most-frequently 'checked-in' places in London?
The Hospital Club and The Breakfast Club (presumably the next morning) are London’s most-frequently checked-in locations on Foursquare. Foursquare, of course, is that service that allows members to ‘check in’ when they arrive at a location, thus notifying their friends that they are at somewhere cool instead of the crap location that said friends are currently occupying.
Topping the list of pubs are The Dove and The Old Fountain
