Apparently Liverpool’s Outfit all live in a big house together, like some sort of scouse version of Arthur Lee’s Love. They only formed in January, which makes their snowballing, meteoric rise seem equally scary and enthralling. Still, if you’ve got the talent… Recent single Two Islands/Vehicles, released on the ever dependable, and equally ambitious Double Denim label, has been making all the right noises, garnering praise from Paul ‘New Band of the Day’ Lester at The Guardian. They’re drawing favourable comparisons with the likes of China Crisis, Wild beasts and, don’t snigger, Kaiser Chiefs. Catch them now, as they’ll undoubtedly be appearing at larger, perhaps not pricier, venues next time around.
