Delay Trees - Pause
A beautiful, expansive piece of psychedelic kraut-rock from this emerging Finnish quartet. This is the first track from their forthcoming album on the Soliti label, and it sounds every bit like a soft-focus Deerhunter.

The Beardy Durfs - Lunch Box
Well well well. It’s been a while since anything has got our blood pumping and heckles raised with deafening, scuzzy, screwed-up, in-the-red rock ‘n’ roll. With the 80’s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Hunches and Immortal Lee County Killers all split, nobody (bar fellow Danes Powersolo, perhaps) has really been picking up the slack.
Until now. The Beardy Durfs are a two piece from the exploding Copenhagen rock ‘n’ roll scene who attack your inner ear with fizz, distortion and thrashing racket going off like bangers around the battered melody coiled somewhere in it’s core. Hear both side of the single and one extra track here and buy the 7” here.

Väljasõit Rohelisse - Teine Vals
This lovely track is by Estonian dronegaze project Väljasõit Rohelisse (pronounced Val-Yah-Sweet Row-Hell-Ease, meaning “roadside picnic”). “Teine Valss” gives a good indication of their woozy, hypnotic sound, and we’ll be featuring an interview with them soon. The debut EP, “Külastus”, comes out this June 4th, on ltd. edition 10” vinyl – and if you like this track, you can order one here.

Conveyor
From the wonderful little NYC label Paper Garden comes this Brooklyn band, with summery, supine flourishes, razor-sharp production and more micro-hooks than velcro. The debut album is set for a July 17th release, and after the teaser track below, we can’t wait…

Cut Your Hair
Spanish indielords Cut Your Hair release a sunny, infectious debut single “Utah In Pictures” on April 30th. It sounds like someone is meowing through a reverb unit in the chorus. Cats are so hot right now. Lovely stuff.

PET - Wear Black
Some creepy Scottish goodness for you here from unsigned Scottish band PET, reminiscent perhaps of Delicatessen‘s dark magic…
