Shot by student protestor ‘Massif101’, he writes this on the YouTube page
I wasn’t planning on uploading this, I assumed the BBC would mention it along with their coverage of all the other protests, they haven’t.These protesters are not those who were kettled outside the treasury building, we weren’t allowed in for that, after some kids had started fires and thrown some sticks n junk at the police lines separating us from the main protest they began to move forward.
This happened about an hour and a half after police started pushing us back, they had already deployed the cavalry 3 times, although those instances were less aggressive than this one.
The horse charge begins at about 1min, 10 seconds.

Simon Bookish: entire live show streaming on Soundcloud
You may have spotted a rather fabulous photograph of experimental composer and underground pop star Simon Bookish playing live in Mary Magdalene’s Church on the site last week. It was taken at a mesmerising one-off performance, augmented with live sampling work by Leafcutter John and staged as part of a series based around disparate pianists playing a highly prized Bösendorfer concert grand piano.
Well, the whole bloody brilliant gig is now streaming on Soundcloud. Set aside some time for it. Serious.
And, let’s give a general HOORAY FOR THE INTERNET.

Arcane Roots
We don’t post much metal stuff on here, for some reason. But we like plenty, and this rules. Some massive production, pleasingly technical playing, and Patton-ish (Mike, not General George) vocals combine into… a video we wanted to post. Raargh!

Two new music magazines to launch in London, Stunt and Fragment
The first is online ‘rock and roll’ mag Stunt, which seems to have a budget of some sort. Music journalist James McMahon is behind it.
His puffery:
Stunt exists because we think rock and roll is lifeblood; because we’re bored of people writing about guitar music (yes, guitar music, shoot us, we like guitars) as if they were compiling a shopping list of florid words; because we think that music is fun and exciting and thereby should be written with jokes in-between the serious bits and not as if we were writing an obituary for our own mothers.
Okay, then.
Above is their fake video from their fake launch party of someone falling off a roof in an attempt to go viral.
Next is new free quarterly mag Fragment, launching this Friday at the Horse in Groom in Shoreditch.
Here’s what they have to say about themselves:
Being strong believers in the future of the newspaper format we plan on creating an alternative to the current music and arts publications that are out there. Producing a product that people look forward to picking up from a visual and content perspective.
Okay, then.
Good luck, everyone.

Yusuf (Cat Stevens), Ozzy Osbourne, and O'Jays play Peace Train, Crazy Train, and Love Train at the Rally for Sanity
This is an awesome set from the Daily Show/Colbert Report’s Rally to Restore Sanity in Washington DC today.
Jon Stewart introduced Yusuf, once known as Cat Stevens, who proceeded to play his hit, Peace Train. Stephen Colbert interrupts and brings in his musician, Ozzy Osbourne, playing Crazy Train and it’s a battle.
It’s a cacophony—which is sorted out by soul group, The O’Jays, with their 70s disco classic, Love Train.
