Terra Incognita by Atlas Sound

Terra Incognita is taken from Parallax, Bradford Cox’s first release under the moniker Atlas Sound since 2010’s Bedroom Databank. According to his label 4AD, ‘Atlas Sound is not a side-project but rather a fully fleshed musical landscape chock-full of pop chronicles culled from sci-fi fever dreams and mid century rock’. For the uninitiated, it sounds, at least on the basis of this track, not too dissimilar to Cox’s ‘other’ band Deerhunter – stream of consciousness lyrics, psych elements – if a little less dense. Parallax is released November 4th. Download Terra Incognita for free here.
