London slang could confuse crusty doctors into thinking you're schizophrenic
“I was having having a ruby when I caught Susan having a butchers at my missus’ new barnet” probably makes perfect sense to lots of British people, but if you’re not familiar with cockney rhyming slang, it could be mistaken for a language impairment.

Finally, some love for an overburdened Met Police
Constance Mitropoulou, 47, who found a hamster riding the number 11 bus on Kings Road has nothing but praise for the Metropolitan Police after dropping ‘Chelsea’ off at the station.
The policeman on the desk was so helpful. His switchboard was going crazy with phone calls, but he managed to keep on top of them and find the best thing to do with the hamster. (PC Matt Petry) was so caring and just made me feel that the streets are safe if people like that are looking after us.

Economy so bad now that people can't even afford beer

Absolut Blank - The Start Of Creativity
Starting right about now, you’ll be seeing a lot about Absolut Blank, a global creative movement.
Absolut is that rarity in business – a sponsor with taste. They have previously collaborated with artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Douglas Gordon and Louise Bourgeois.
For this world-encompassing project, Absolut has commissioned artists from a variety of creative disciplines; from drawing, painting and sculpting to print making, film making and digital art. Among the artworks are UVA’s high intensity, bright and striking light installations, Mario Wagner’s cut-out imagery and the graphic design of Robert Mars, the colorful painting of Dave Kinsey and the detailed work of Good Wives and Warriors, best known for making labor-intensive, imaginative, intricate and large-scale drawings with titles such as ‘Giant Squids Attacking the Earth’.
Absolut has also created a personal, organic art piece that lives and evolves in your mobile phone. Download the application and feed your Absolut Blank silhouette with audio-visual inspiration. See the bottle shape morph and develop over time, then share your final art piece on Facebook. Voilà! You are an Absolut artist.
