Being a dickhead is cool
East London’s much-maligned scenester culture gets yet another vicious pasting in this doing-the-rounds YouTube clip. It’s gone from 350 to almost 1,000,000 views in the last two days – the hipster media company that came up with this must be very pleased that’s it’s “gone viral”. They could go and buy even tinier BMX bikes if only they could monetize it. Not that they aren’t trying, of course – the accompanying song is available on iTunes.

Daily Mail takes photo of George Osborne from Internet, doesn't notice huge photoshopped cock
More proof that sub-editors are good value. It seems that the Daily Mail has taken a photo from the Internet — we assume, of course that they did not do this themself — that had a large cartoon penis dangling from George Osborne.

Central Line gives out three times more refunds than Victoria line
You know that if your tube train is delayed by 15 minutes or more you can get a refund, right? And you are more likely to be delayed on the Central line than the Victoria line Just on those two lines, TfL has paid out £135,000 this year in refunds.
If the delay was caused by the Underground and not some idiot fellow passenger or some idiotic Act of God, then there is no excuse for not getting your money back.

The Black Cab Sessions
For the uninitiated, the Black Cab Sessions concept is simple: take a band in the back of a randomly flagged cab, and film the resulting performance as they cruise around the East End. From humble beginnings filming promising London newbies, the sessions have since attracted the interest of American TV stations and taken some musical legends along for the ride. Highlights are many – from the barber-shop-style Brian Wilson session to a rainy night time performance from David Thomas Broughton, complete with self-sabotaging improvised looping through a battery powered amp; from the spectral blues-folk of the Smoke Fairies, to the newest session of all, by The Flaming Lips. Click the still below to check that one out, and sign up for their newsletter to hear about some hugely ambitious sessions coming soon…
