It's time to end all the "sex acts"
Mike Pollitt | Friday 24 June, 2011 11:26
Why can’t we just call a spade a spade? This headline from This is Croydon is a case in point.
Man, 72, performed sex act while naked at window
Surely ought to be rewritten as:
Man, 72, masturbated while naked at window
And this headline from the Daily Mail:
Pervert tax consultant posed as Harrods’ modelling agent to trick women into bizarre sex acts
Really ought to read:
Pervert tax consultant posed as Harrods’ modelling agent to trick women into measuring him naked
These are unpleasant things to do. We don’t need add the glamour of mystery to them by being all coy about their names.
