If you can get past their shocker of a band name, there are plenty of great ideas in this track by Thumpermonkey Lives!. A bit prog, a bit post-rock, and a bit, well, Mansun. But good. Just pretend they are called something else. I’m going with “Ski Pants”.

Dear Sir,

I have put forward a recommendation to Thumpermonkey’s shareholders to change the band name to ‘Ski Pants’. They uphold concerns that this makes us sound like a fusion band featuring Chick Corea, but are prepared to take the matter under advisement. I have suggest ‘Stamp Sandwich’ as a compromise, and will report in after our AGM.
