LIFE Finds Rare Treasure Trove of Eva Braun Photos

It seems unlikely that more than half a century after their precipitous demise, we’re still finding out new things about the Third Reich. The Nazis, while easily the worst thing ever, are also so damn fascinating. And because of the intrigue that continues to surround them, it’s hard to believe that every morsel of Jew hating bizarreness hasn’t already been unearthed.
And yet some new an really weird unearthing just happened, thanks to LIFE Magazine. A set of just over 30 never before seen photos from Eva Braun’s private collection somehow wound up in their inbox, giving us a glimpse into Hitler’s main squeeze’s personal life.
There’s Eva Braun doing yoga, Eva Braun dressed up in black face, Eva Braun striking a sultry pose with an umbrella, a handful of Eva Braun with some dogs, and also a picture of Hitler holding young child in there too.
Hitler the child lover. Man, that really doesn’t have a ring to it at all.
