Yesterday was a bad day for UK culture, as the nations new “Open for Business” motto takes effect and guts funding to the second largest contributor to the British economy. It is frustrating, annoying and stupid that even though the arts employ 1.2 million people and are an essential draw for UK tourism, they are somehow not viewed as businessy.

The cuts, however, are not being distributed evenly. For better or worse, they’ve been doled out on an unproportional basis — some are even seeing an increase.

We’re not sure who, but some diligent soul went through and put all the cut related data in a handy to browse online spreadsheet. If you’re curious to see how the cuts will affect your favorite creators of culture, there is no better way to browse the stats.
