Snake in a bin
Mike Pollitt | Monday 5 September, 2011 11:33
The two and a half foot serpent was curled up in a recepticle on the Mayville Estate, Newington Green, so the stunned resident called the animal welfare team. No one claimed the red and brown reptile, a docile corn snake, so it was rehoused.
“I have had it with these motherfucking snakes in this motherfucking bin,” is presumably what the attending council officer had to say about the matter.
Full story in the Islington Gazette, who lose marks for not making more of the reptile/recepticle wordplay angle.
