Erika M. Anderson, formerly of Gowns, releases her debut album Past Life Martyred Saints this week. California, below, is one of the standout tracks, a half-sung, half-spoken stream of consciousness over a feedback-drenched, electro-folk wall of sound. Some pretty hard-hitting lyrics too.
