Back to Back (Sun Glitters Remix) by Wolfgang
Check out this distortedly pretty reworking of Wolfgang’s Back to Back, courtesy of Victor Ferreira, aka Sun Glitters. Ol’ Victor has been busy adding his decidedly glitchy magic to tracks by Neon Cloud and Cream Child, as well as compiling a mixtape for the For Robots and Humans blog – no Snipe London of course (obvs), but well worth a look none the less.

El Diablo by Applescal
A record full of ‘Atari-esque synth stabs, keening psychedelia and 1980s drum sounds’, this is top stuff from the young Dutch producer, a skilled remixer and recipient of ‘De Grote Prijs van Nederland’, Holland’s biggest dance award. El-Diablo is taken from his new EP of the same name, available for free via the website of the RTFKT collective – a multi-functional platform supporting electronic artists.

Tell Me Why by D/Wolves
We first told you about San Diego’s D/Wolves, fronted by Joel ‘Kynan’ Williams, back in March. They’ve just released an excellent new EP via their Bandcamp page, entitled Stop Pretending. Taken from that is the future alt-pop classic below. This is a band with talent and confidence to burn, expertly honing their songwriting skills with every release. Hopefully they’ll be gracing these shores in the not too distant future.

Airspray by Civil Civic
Blog favourites Civil Civic sound almost like a more considered, less belligerent Pendulum (what an awful band Pendulum are, like being shouted at by four blokes on cheap speed while their shy, weedy mate plays guitar badly in the background) and have been making dangerous looking waves with their brand of highly danceable, quirky math-pop. Airspray is taken from debut long-player Rules and you can catch the duo at the Sebright Arms in Bethnal Green next Thursday (Nov 17th).

Any Other Day by Flow Machines
Get over the first ten seconds or so and the new single from Manchester’s Flow machines actually morphs into something quite sweet and wonderful, like a male-fronted St Etienne. Top marks for the verging on ridiculous, verging on genius Pet Shop Boys breakdown pastiche too. Look out for an album in January.

Don't Let Me Be Denied by Pinemarten
Chesterfield producer and remix champ (Jewellers, Museum of Bellas Artes) Pinemarten releases his debut album, If You Thought There Was Any Doubt, November 28th via his Bandcamp page. Expect him to follow the likes of Chad Valley into the arena marked crisp, dreamy synth pop imbibed with a chillwave (whoops, a dirty word) bent. There’s more than a hint of Cut Copy thrown into the mix too. Excellent stuff.

U R 1 (Friendly Ghost Remix) by TEETH
Though this reworking could hardly be described as ‘softly romantic’ (as it is in the press release), Brooklyn’s Friendly Ghost have certainly taken the abrasive edge off the third single from TEETH’s recent debut Whatever. For those pining for the East London trio’s trademark bite, patience is rewarded two and a half minutes in. U R 1 is released November 23rd on Moshi Moshi.
