Chilling Images from the Devastation in Japan

Like the rest of the world, we’ve been chilled to the bone by the images coming out of Japan right now. The quake has been upgraded to an 8.9, and has been called the 7th largest in recorded history, right behind the one that hit South East Asia in 2004 — that was the 6th.
As the waves approach Hawaii and the American Pacific Coast, we’re gripped with an intense feeling of sadness and helplessness as new video footage pours in, and we basically sit here crossing our fingers, hoping for the best.
Thankfully, the Mirror has compiled some celebrity tweets on the subject to give us a bit of solace in this otherwise extremely bleak moment. We were really wondering what Paris Hilton had to say on the subject.
Update: Buzzfeed has compiled an incredible photo gallery.
